How do you make flat shoes from hurting?

Every time I try on a flat it hurts the back of my foot. And one day at target I found this cute plaid pointed flat and it hurt my back. It doesn’t hurt until I walk after a while. Is there a way to stop it?
padded liners?

Well if the shoe is hurting the back of your foot you can buy some padded liners that fit inside your shoe. You can shape the liner to fit any shoe type and it keeps the shoe from rubbing. Hope this helps!
