What's the Deal With This Guy?
With a morbid sense of humor and a sharp wit, Dean Mehrkens takes great pains in his writing process. After all, what hurts more than a paper cut? With a wife and seven children, he keeps very busy, but still manages to eek out a little time to write.
With one novel down, and several more in the works, Dean is well on his way to creating an epic fantasy series in five books (and only five). In light of the economic doom we all face, Dean fully embraces the DIY ethic, applying it to all aspects of life and constantly striving to live more efficiently and more independently.
Always ready to argue religion and politics, Dean spends what little free time he has listening to podcasts, as well as brewing beer and trying to see some daylight from time to time.
What Exactly Do You Do Anyway?
I write novels, short stories, flash fiction, and even non-fiction. In short, I'll exchange words for money with just about anyone who's interested.
I also dabble in web design and development. I've built this site and a handful of others, which you can check out on my cleverly concealed Portfolio page. I'm more than willing to exchange HTML for cash as well.
